Dan Coffey Slams underage sex crime victims 

Facing a long prison sentence on Federal drug and child sex trafficking charges, Anchorage businessman Josef Boehm turned to Dan Coffey for help.  Dan dutifully wrote a letter to the judge seeking leniency and blaming Joe’s “problems” on others.

While we can understand the need to support a friend or client in a time of crisis, Dan Coffey went the extra mile for Joe Boehm: he blamed the underage victims.  In his letter to the sentencing judge he called the underage victims "vultures" who "preyed" upon Mr. Boehm and that they (the victims) "have not made any contribution to the community".

Because Dan claimed he had known the judge "for many years", he did not need to identify himself in the letter as the newly elected vice-chair of the Anchorage Assembly. Dan's letter speaks for itself.
