Who does Dan Coffey really represent, you or his clients?

The Assembly has dealt with Dan Coffey’s conflicts of interest 128 times since he took office.  These conflicts arose because of Dan's personal and business interests as well as those of dozens of clients many of whom are liquor stores and restaurants his law firm represented. 120 times the assembly found that he had a "substantial financial interest" in a matter before the Assembly and he was ordered to abstain from voting. Although Dan says he recently “retired” from the practice of law involving Anchorage clients,  his firm Ernouf & Coffey, P.C  still actively  represents local applicants for liquor licensees  and Dan remains “ of counsel” to the firm.
