Citizens track conflicts of interest for elected officials by matching their actions in office against required public disclosure of income and private business interests.

Assembly members are required to file with the Alaska Public Offices Commission an annual statement disclosing those interests. If required disclosures are not made or if they are misleading, there is little way the elected officials can be monitored for conflicts of interest.
